The providers and staff at the Institute for Gynecologic Oncology are committed to providing exceptional gynecologic and gynecologic oncology care to every patient. Dr. Ricardo Estape is dedicated to the physical and emotional well-being of women with gynecologic cancers and complex gynecological problems. Our dedicated team of caregivers also includes two very experienced nurse practitioners, Eric Estape and Robert Estape, with over 52 years of combined experience as nurse practitioners. These clinicians have dedicated their careers to improving the lives of the patients they treat.
We are currently the most experienced practice in South Florida and offer expert gynecologic oncology care, gynecologic oncologist guided chemotherapy, advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgery for benign and malignant conditions, and continued research and advancement in our field. We offer genetic screening and molecular profiling and the most targeted therapies available with proven data to our gynecologic cancer patients. Patient experience is important to us, and we are committed to providing our patients with a seamless visit. Our office also has one of the most experienced chemotherapy nurses/coordinator, Julio DelValle, RN, who will help manage and arrange your chemotherapy at several of our infusion centers in a quiet, private setting to allow healing and recovery. We also have one of the most experienced robotic gynecologic nurses in the country in Barbara Yuen, RN, who has assisted Dr. Estape with over 7,000 cases. She has been working with Dr. Estape for over 20 years and will help guide your operative experience.

This Medical GPS patient experience survey measures patient satisfaction from the time the appointment was made to the time the patient spent with the provider.
- Recommend: The Recommendation rating reflects patients’ overall likelihood of recommending their provider to friends or family members.
- Exam Thorough: The Exam Thorough rating reflects how satisfied patients were at the thoroughness and completeness of their examination and treatment.
- Provider Answers: The Provider Answers rating shows the level of patient satisfaction on how the provider was able to answer questions and fully explain treatment.
- Provider Concern: Provider concern measures the extent to which patients agree they were treated with courtesy, respect and concern throughout the entire examination.
- Wait Reasonable: This rating measures patient satisfaction on the total time spent waiting for the provider.
